Some spiders have 2 or 3 claws at the tip of each leg. In web weaving spiders, one of these claws has an area that is used for hooking on to the strands of the web... The spider uses this claw to swing from strand to strand without having to touch the sticky part of the web. TA DA :)

i knew there was logical biological explanation for this. i was just to lazy to look it up. but now i know. i'm sure it's happens from time to time though.
